Spring Camp 2016 has been booked for the weekend of May 13-15 at:
Tamaracouta Scout Reserve. This is about 55 min drive from Montreal by Car (traffic dependent).

When: Friday May 13 to Sunday May 15
Drop Off Time & Location: (Car Pooling) – Friday 1730 Hrs (from Beaconsfield)
Pick Up Time: (Car Pooling) – Sunday 1400 hrs (from TSR)
Where: Tamaracouta Scout Reserve ( North-West of St-Jerome – 499 Chemin Tamaracouta Mille Isles, Quebec J0R 1A0)
Cost: 60$ – Cost of the camp, all activities and food. To be paid before Camp. Cash or Check made to Beaconsfield Scouts Canada
For the spring camp, the Cubs will be sleeping in tents.
Below is a proposed packing list:
SRING CAMP 2016 PACKING LIST
Photocopy of MEDICARE CARD and all medication with written instructions. (No copy of Card, No Camp, No Exceptions!)
FULL LIST – 55L Pack or large backpack (recommended to keep gear together)
- Sleeping Bag
- Blanket (Optional, but may be a good idea depending on sleeping bag rating!)
- Sleeping Mat or Pad
- Small Pillow
- Full Uniform including neckerchief and woggle
- Warm Jacket
- Warm Boots/Rubber Boots/Hikers (check the weather)
- Long pants (2)
- Socks (3) / Underwear (3)
- T-Shirts (2)
- Shorts (1) – check the weather
- Pajamas (2)
- Sweatshirt
- Hat or tuque and Mitts/Gloves
- Wool Socks (extra for daypack)
- Rain Gear (Rain jacket / poncho for daypack)
- Water Bottle
- Bug Repellant
- Flashlight, Spare batteries for flashlight
- Mess Kit (Plate, Cup, Bowl, Knife, Fork, Spoon)
- Towel and Laundry Bag
- Wash Bag: Facecloth, Toothbrush, toothpaste, soap in a container, comb / brush
- Cub handbook, Note pad and pencil
- Plastic bags (3) (1 Bag for Wet Clothes, 2 Bags to keep feet dry if boots get wet)
- Optional items: Sleeping Buddy, Campfire Blanket, Camp Chair, Diary, Survival kit and Compass. Sunglasses, sunscreen and lip balm.
PLEASE LABEL EVERYTHING WITH YOUR CHILDS NAME.
DAYPACK – Small Back Pack
The daypack is to be carried to all activities and has back-up items in case the cub gets cold or their gear is wet. Please have the cub pack their daypack so they know where everything is. School backpack is fine. Please separate from the above full list the following items and pack in the daypack
- Sweatshirt
- Hat and Mitts/Gloves
- Wool Socks
- Rain Gear (Rain jacket)
- Water Bottle
- Bug Repellant
- Spare batteries for flashlight
- Mess Kit (Plate, Cup, Bowl, Knife, Fork, Spoon)
- Cub handbook, notepad and pencil
- Plastic bags (2)
- Sunglasses, sunscreen and Vaseline or lip balm
- Optional survival kit, compass, diary and binoculars
TO WEAR to Camp
- Full Uniform including neckerchief and woggle
- Shirt under uniform
- Long Pants
- Warm Jacket
- Warm Boots/Hikers and Good Socks
- Flashlight in a pocket (it will be dark when we arrive)
All other items from the full list are to be packed in a BACKPACK: 55 L or larger backpack (not mandatory but suggested). Hockey bag or larger duffle bag is fine.
Please note it’s preferable to pack in proper back packs so the Cubs can carry all their clothing and equipment.

Please do NOT bring any electronic items (DS, phones etc), pocket knives or food. Any such items will be confiscated by the Leaders and returned to the Cubs after camp. Please ensure ALL items are marked with your Cubs name or initials. It is very difficult to repatriate lost items if they are not marked.
